Christmas is in the air.

"I love giving to little children and I love Christmas I love to give especially at Christmas," said Susan Wade, Angel Tree donor.

The Salvation Army has begun is its Red Kettle and Angel Tree campaigns.
And for long-time Angel Tree donor, Susan Wade, it's become tradition.

"I do this every year sometimes I get two or three angels off the tree," said Wade.

During the ceremony Friday afternoon, Highland Elementary School students got Wiregrass Commons Mall shoppers in the Christmas spirit.

"It touches our heart tremendously to see the community come out and support and help the salvation army reach out to these families and and seeing people do that is trememdous," said Captain Thomas Broome of the Salvation Army.

The Angel Tree is not the only way to give back this holiday season.

"Every penny counts we need to remember this money just doesn't help with Christmas efforts it helps us throughout the year to help people who are less fortunate with food and water bills and utility bills and without these donations we cant help the people we would like to," said Broome.

Wade says the feeling she gets from helping a child is all worth it.

"It means a great deal to know that they are getting something good that they really really need," said Wade.

Salvation Army has an Angel Tree at the Wiregrass Commons Mall.
Donations will be accepted until December 13th.
