Martha Roby will serve another term in congress.
Voters in America's second congressional district reelected Roby to the United States House of Representatives.
Roby, 36,was challenged by Therese Ford, a Democratic attorney and teacher in Montgomery.
She stopped by the Montgomery County Republican Headquarters Tuesday night to thank her supporters for their vote of confidence.
The republicans have maintained control of the house, and Roby said they will have to continue working on bipartisanship.
"We've got real problems in the White House thinking they have legislative powers that they don't. I think we are going to have to continue to play offense in the house. That's the beauty of this government. Think of all the things that could have happened in the past two years that didn't because we held the majority in the house," said Roby.
The democrats have also retained control of the senate.
