MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- To get a sense of the Republicans' internal struggle, look at the race in Alabama's 1st Congressional District.
Tuesday's runoff will test the business community's effort to counter conservative activists who have pushed the party to the right.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed lawyer Bradley Byrne -- and so have many other business groups.
His opponent is Dean Young, a former adviser to state Chief Justice Roy Moore, the famous Ten Commandments judge.
Young bills the race as a battle between establishment Republicans and tea partyers.
Despite the internal party struggle, both candidates take the same positions on issues at the core of Capitol Hill gridlock.
Republican Jo Bonner resigned the seat for a job with the University of Alabama System.

Injury declaration for oyster industry approved
APALACHICOLA, Fla. (AP) -- The U.S. Small Business Administration has approved an economic injury declaration Gov. Rick Scott requested for parts of the Florida Panhandle affected by the collapse of the commercial oyster fishery.
The News Herald reports that Franklin, Gulf, Liberty and Wakulla counties are included in the declaration approved Friday. Small businesses will be eligible for as much as $2 million in low-interest loans.
The oyster shortage has been blamed on a lack of freshwater flowing into Apalachicola Bay. Last month, Florida filed a lawsuit accusing Georgia of consuming too much fresh water from a river system that serves three Southeastern states.
In a statement Friday, Scott said declaration was a "great victory in our fight for the Florida families who rely on our commercial oyster industry to make a living."

Some students told The Tampa Bay Times that they remembered Sebastian and Susana as funny, kind children known for their friendship and the ability to make other people laugh.
