Dothan city officials say the Public Housing Drug Elimination Program has been successful.
The program is aimed at monitoring and eliminating drug activity in seven Dothan housing developments.
The housing authority entered an agreement with city commissioners to keep the program going for another year.
As a part of the agreement, the city provides eight officers to patrol the developments.
There are at least two officers on duty 24/7 for those areas.
