Northside Methodist Academy held a prayer vigil this morning; after being asked by Conner's parents.
This is Conner's second bout with cancer and his schoolmates and teachers are hoping and praying for the best.
"Heal him, bless him all the way to the moon. Please help him to overcome this cancer. Amen, " prayed one of Conner's classmates.
"If he went thru it one time, he can do it again, " prayed another classmate.
"He's just a vivacious little boy. Everyone loves him in his class, Ms. Harris's 3rd grade class and we just wanted to come together this morning to honor him, " says Adelia Burke, Elementary Principal at Northside Methodist Academy.
"I hope that you take away the illness that Conner has and for him to come home and be here for Christmas and for him to stay alive, " prayed one classmate.
"I'll be so happy if he lives. If i could be him, I would be scared, crying really bad. Lets pray that god won't take him, " prayed another.
"Dear Lord, I thank you for this day and I pray that you will bless Conner this Christmas and that he'll stay until Christmas so that he can have a good Christmas and I pray that you will bless him so that he will get better and beat this again," prayed another classmate.
"He's just a bubbly personality, laughs a lot, just very sweet, would like to get to work when it was time to get to work, very smart, extremely smart little fella, " says Debbie Hughes, Conner's Kindergarten Teacher.
"Hopefully he will make it, I hope he will. He is being so strong battling for his life. I hope he will make it, " prayed another classmate.
Conner's family has set up a bank account for anyone who would like to make donations towards his medical expenses at Servis First Bank under the name Conner Lokey.
Conner's family has also created a Facebook page called Prayers For Conner.
