Police Put Safety First in BCS Championship

MIAMI (AP) -- Miami Dade Police are planning an extensive security sweep of Sun Life Stadium in advance of the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game.

K-9 dogs will sniff for explosive devices and officers will search all in-coming delivery vehicles Monday morning. Officials said they will also check for counterfeit merchandise.

No. 1 Notre Dame will face off against No. 2 Alabama in one of the most anticipated games of the year on Monday night.
