DOTHAN, AL - Bruster's Real Ice Cream in Dothan will offer a cool way to save a life when it teams with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers for a "Pint for a Pint" blood drive, June 8 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The blood drive will take place at Bruster's, 4388 Montgomery Highway, Dothan. The blood drive is particularly well timed, because when temperatures climb in the summer, blood supplies often drop. Participants will be helping to prevent blood shortages at local hospitals that receive nearly all of their blood components from LifeSouth and its donors. Every donor will receive a free pint of Bruster's delicious ice cream. They'll also receive one of the cool summertime T-shirts from LifeSouth.
Donors must be 17 or older, or 16 with parental permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required. For additional information call toll free 888-795-2707 or on the web at www.lifesouth.org http://www.lifesouth.org .
