Pink Out at Northview Highschool

They were doing it to bring awareness to breast cancer.
Officials gave them a little bit of leeway, allowing them to wear pink shirts without collars.
They said they were more focused on supporting the cause.

"It’s affected our students, teachers, principal in our school system. So we decided this year we wanted to do something promote awareness." Northview social studies teacher Dieatra Davis said.

Teachers say they hope the students take home a better understanding of this disease.
