TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - State wildlife officials say a Panhandle deer hunter made a bad mistake when he shot himself in the foot while standing on a tree limb.
Ronald Mills, 39, was able to climb off the tree and drive himself to Tallahassee Regional Medical Center after the Wednesday-morning accident in rural Leon county.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says Mills was standing on the tree limb and resting his gun on his boot when he accidentally discharged the rifle.
