OZARK -- The Ozark/Dale County E911, as well as other first responders, shared a meal together on Monday afternoon to kick-off National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
Officers and dispatchers grilled out at the Dale County Sheriff's Office and received certificates for their selfless commitment to public safety.
All week, a special focus is put on the public safety communicators for being the "first" first responder during emergency situations.
Local E911 officials encourage all departments to take the time this week to thank dispatchers.
