OZARK, Ala. (AP) -- Firefighters in the city of Ozark are getting ready to roll out in the department's first new fire truck in more than a decade.

Reports say the fire department bought its new engine with a $285,000 federal grant plus $65,000 in local matching funds. The new Engine 3 replaces a fire truck that's 26 years old.

Fire Chief Greg Boutwell is equipped with special scene lighting that can not only help fighting fires at night but also could aid police investigations.

Boutwell says his firefighters should start using the new truck for mission and readiness operations in the coming week.
