Ozark Stops Curbside Recycling Pickup Program

Ozark residents will no longer be able to put their recycling out by the road.

Beginning on Oct. 18, the city will stop its curbside pickup program.

Mayor Billy Blackwell said the reason for cutting the program is to save the city money and balance the budget. The program cost the city about $70,000 a year.

Residents can still drop off recycling at The Dale County Rescue Mission Bargain Center and The Closet on Roy Parker Road. People will be allowed to keep the recycling bins.
