Oysters are back and in high demand.
Seafood restaurant owners were concerned the oil spill and higher prices would stop people from eating oysters.
But, the tides changed when Louisiana and Texas ports were re-opened, causing the oyster supply to increase.
"All the demand was on Apalachicola, now that those have opened up they can get theirs in other cities and we can get ours in Apalachicola,” said Tim Reeves, Owner of Hunt’s Restaurant.
Reeves says oysters were the costliest in the summer, and the price hasn't decreased much.
