Alabama law enforcement agencies helped make Christmas a reality for a group of children Friday.

Santa made an early stop today at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.

A trailer full of toys were dropped off for the Sugar Plum Shop.

The shop gives parents an opportunity to shop for their children in the hospital for free.

And parents say is a burden lifted form their shoulders.

"It has been wonderful because being up here for so long we have been up here for 16 months ware just kinda living wherever we can we are have to buy of food out of pocket so its wonderful we don't really have to spend money on toys," said Susan Jernigan, mother of a patient.

Organizers of Operation Toy Drop say they hope to make this an annual program.
