One person is dead following Tuesday evening's three car accident on Ross Clark Circle.
According to a press release from the Dothan Police Department, at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the Dothan Police Department Traffic Division Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to a motor vehicle crash involving three cars; a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche, a 2001 Honda CRV and a 2000 Mercury Sable. The accident took place in the 3000 block of Ross Clark Circle.
Four people were injured in the crash, they were all treated at a local hospital. Three of the occupants were treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the 2005 Avalanche crossed the median while travelling north bound in the 3000 block of Ross Clark Circle and entered the south bound lanes of traffic striking the Honda CRV. The Honda CRV then struck the Mercury Sable passenger car, which was also travelling south on Ross Clark Circle. There is no indication of impairment in any of the parties involved and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
This afternoon the driver of the Honda CRV, Samantha Marcella Allman, 35, of Dothan, succumbed to injuries received during the crash.
