DOTHAN, AL - SARCOA’s annual Older Americans Day celebration will be held May 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eastgate Park in Dothan. Tickets for the event are free, but must be ordered by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5. Attendees must be 60 years or older to qualify for the free lunch and prizes.
Older Americans Day features entertainment, food, prizes and sponsor booths. This year’s theme is “Around the World.” Attendees are encouraged to dress up in international-themed attire for the costume contest.
Event t-shirts are available for purchase.
Attendees should bring a hat, sunglasses, a lawn chair, and fishing gear and bait if they plan to fish.
In case of rain, the Older Americans Day celebration will be relocated to the Dothan Civic Center.
