The DDRA would like to inform the public that the demolition of the Wadlington Hotel located at 161, 163, 171, and 173 N. Foster Street will commence at 5:30am on Sunday August 19th. For this demolition, the 100 block of North Foster Street will be closed for vehicular traffic and sidewalk access will be limited. The subsequent haul-off of material from the demolition site will begin Monday August 20th and last approximately one week. Foster Street will be open during the haul-off process, with a small area of the street being reduced to a single traffic lane.
Colby’s Restaurant will be open for lunch on Sunday and accessible from Troy Street.
Please note that all vehicles parked on North Foster Street need to be removed by 4am on Sunday August 19th to avoid being towed.
The DDRA is very thankful to the City of Dothan for their assistance throughout this process, and we are optimistic about the development opportunities this step will provide us.
