Local leaders discussed the how the health care reform would affect local residents, business owners and the nation as a whole.

Church leaders say they want the public to be informed and educated before any changes take place.

Local accounting firms say they have been getting a number of questions from locals and wanted to give them a chance to learn more about it.

They also say this was an opportunity to put aside any differences about the Affordable Care Act and deliver just the facts.

"Our position is the law is what it is. We have to go out and work within the confines of what exist at this point in time. So we are not necessarily for it or against it, we are just trying to produce the information that's out there so people can begin to understand this complex bill, " says Tracy Knowles, Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) at Bevis, Eberhart, Browning, Walker and Stewart; a local accounting firm.

Bevis, Eberhart, Browning, Walker and Stewart accounting officials stayed after the meeting to answer questions one-on-one.
