National Peanut Festival Board Endows Scholarship

Dothan, Ala.— The National Peanut Festival (NPF) Board has fully endowed the National Peanut Festival Scholarship with a check for $16,867.31. The scholarship was originally established by the NPF Board members in 1993 and has been awarded each semester through the Wallace Community College Foundation.

Recipients of this scholarship must hold a GPA of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need. One scholarship of up to $750 is presented per semester to a qualifying student. Applications are accepted via the College’s website ( or by visiting the financial aid office.

The partnership between the National Peanut Festival and Wallace Community College enables qualified WCC students to pursue their educational goals.
