We should expect more serious storms than previously predicted this hurricane season.
The national oceanic and atmospheric administration revised its forecast today, saying there could be between 12 and 17 named storms, from June 1 and November 30.
In may, NOAA originally predicted nine to 15 named storms.
So far this season, there have been six named storms: Alberto, Beryl, Chris, Debbie, Ernesto and Florence.
Chris and Ernesto became hurricanes.
Ernesto is currently a tropical storm, travelling across Mexico.
