MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Police say a 37-year-old Mobile woman had her Kia Optima stolen, with her 6-month-old baby inside the car.
The woman told police Wednesday that she had just parked on a Mobile street around 6 p.m. when a man came up from behind, jumped into the driver's seat and drove off.
The car was recovered a few minutes later, still running, but with no child inside.
Shortly after that, the infant was found unharmed at a home.
The resident there told police that he answered a knock at his door and found the infant on his doorstep, still in the car seat.
