Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz is recovering after an ATV accident while on vacation in Idaho.

Mayor Mike Schmitz Recovering After ATV Accident

On Friday, July 27, 2012, Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz was involved in an ATV accident while vacationing with his family in Idaho.

As a result of the accident, Mayor Schmitz suffered a broken collarbone and several broken ribs. He is currently being treated at Flowers Hospital for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

“Please let everyone know that I am doing fine and I truly appreciate the outpouring of concern from our local citizens,” said Mayor Mike Schmitz. “I am truly blessed to live in Dothan and to be surrounded by so many thoughtful and caring individuals.”
