IRONDALE, Ala. (AP) - A man has been killed and a woman injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Irondale, about 10 miles east of Birmingham.
State troopers told The Birmingham News the accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. when two vehicles collided.
The man who was killed was not identified. He was driving a 1999 Saturn SL2. The woman, who was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer, was identified as 41-year-old Sheri Menefee of Birmingham. She as being treated at UAB Hospital.
Troopers said they are investigating the cause of the crash and trying to determine the identity of the man who was killed.
