Man Arrested for Burglarizing a Church

On November 17, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest after responding to suspicious person’s complaint on the 2200 block of Third Avenue.

Investigators say Kevin Torres was arrested after officers made contact with him and found property from a church, which had just been burglarized in his possession.

Torres’s arrest and recovery of the stolen property was the direct result of a concerned citizen who recognized a suspicious person in their neighborhood and contacted their local law enforcement agency. These actions are to be commended and continued.

Kevin Christopher Torres, Hispanic male, 33 years of age, of Dykes Street was arrested and charged with third degree Burglary. A bond amount has been set at $250,000.00. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
