A Dothan woman got the opportunity of a lifetime to share her story with Oprah.
When Anita Dawkins heard Oprah was doing a life class on colorism, she sent the network her story.
Colorism is a form of bullying in your own race.
Dawkins experienced it from an early age.
Oprah's producers ultimately chose her story along with two others to be featured in the segment.
"Not giving you too much detail, I had the opportunity to give some of my southern hospitality and in storing it into a 19 year old who is suffering from colorism," Dawkins said.
The episode will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network on January 10th.
