Light Snow Falls on Parts of North-Central Alabama

While the Wiregrass didn’t see any snowfall, parts of North-Central Alabama did see some snow.

One community that did receive a little bit of the wintry precipitation was Hueytown, a community to the south and west of Birmingham. A picture from Marc Finocchio shows a light dusting of snow in that area. However, he said it ended quickly.

Molly McCarrick said she saw some flurries while driving between Hoover and Birmingham, but they also ended quickly.

However, other Hueytown residents didn’t see any at all. Amanda Johnston said, “We haven't gotten even a bit. It is incredibly cold, very windy, and there does seem to be a layer of ice over things.”

Despite the small amounts of snow some parts of that area saw, they will see very cold air over the next couple of days.
