Lenhart to Retire from Ozark City Schools System

OZARK -- After seven years as the superintendent of Ozark City Schools, Michael Lenhart has decided to retire.

He has been an educator for 22 years and said that recent health issues and a need to make his family his top priority are the main reasons he has decided to retire.

Lenhart said building the new Carroll High School and the high school's recent 9 percent graduation rate increase over the past year as recent highlights in his career.

"Of all the things that I've done, I think I've had the biggest impact here in Ozark," Supt. Lenhart said. "I don't think I could ever do anything to top this so I might as well go out while I'm feeling good."

His last day will be 90 days after the next superintendent is selected.
