Elected officials toured the Dothan Technology Center.
They got to see the different classrooms and talked to the students about what they learning.
The elected officials say this was important because just as students need to know what is going on in the classrooms, they do too.
"Having an opportunity to just look at all the stuff here that's going on here at the technology center gives us a better idea of everything that goes on and it's really exciting to see what the young people are learning today, " says Alabama Representative of the 85th District, Dexter Grimsley.
Visiting Wiregrass schools is something the officials say they will continue to do in an effort to support the significance of a good education.
