MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Lucy Baxley says she's done with politics. The 74-year-old served two terms as state treasurer, one as Alabama's first female lieutenant governor and one as Public Service Commission president before losing her re-election bid Tuesday. She says she plans to spend time with her family now.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Police have arrested a man accused of chasing and opening fire on a woman in Huntsville. Police said the victim was arguing with a man late Friday when the man went into a bedroom and got a gun. No injuries were reported. The man was charged with domestic violence.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Nearly two dozen groups in Alabama will share more than $8 million in oil spill funds to promote Gulf Coast tourism and seafood. BP is spending $57 million to bolster the tourism and seafood industries as part of a proposed settlement for the 2010 oil spill.
