The town of Hartford is hosting a benefit for Kendrea White this weekend.
Kendrea suffers from Lyme disease, Crohn's disease and Borreliosis of the brain.
The benefit is Saturday, July 27, at the recreation park in Hartford. Gates open at 8:00 a-m.
There will be arts and crafts and vendors. There will be a concert at 5:00 featuring Shane Owens and Jerome Jackson as Elvis.
"Nowadays you can never tell; it may be you next, it may be one of your loved ones or something." Owens said. "You just can't ever tell. It's the right thing to do. If anybody's able to donate anything it'd be a blessing for them to do it. And uh she needs our help right now."
The benefit is free, but they will be taking donations at the gate. The money will go to help with treatment costs.
You can make checks payable to Jason Powell Productions. If you can't make the benefit but would still like to help, you can mail a check to Jeannine Webb care of Jason Powell Productions, 2803 Union Hill Church Road, Bonifay FL.
There is also an account set up at Wells Fargo Bank in Bonifay. To donate to that account, make checks payable to The Benefit of Kendrea White c/o Kim Harris.
