The Evergreen Center for Dialogue and Discernment will host a panel and audience discussion based on Douglas Blackmon’s Pulitzer Prize winning book, Slavery By Another Name, at 6pm on August 27th.

The discussion will be held in Sony Hall at Troy University Dothan Campus.

Blackmon tells the gripping story of Alabama citizens who became forced laborers, victims of human trafficking and corruption from the last decades of the nineteenth century through World War II.

His book became the basis for a documentary underwritten by the National Endowment for the Arts and viewable free of charge at http://www.slaverybyanothername.com/pbs-film/.
