Honeysuckle Middle School has already received national recognition for its mentorship programs, but now, teachers and parents are taking that a step further.
School educators hosted a mentorship meeting on Tuesday morning to encourage others to get involved.
The program encourages volunteers to share motivational messages with students. Volunteers do not have to be parents and teachers. Anyone in the community can get on board with the program as well.
Many people have already registered to make a difference. Registered mentors are scheduled to speak with students one a month or whenever available.
