Henry County 4th Graders Attend Groundwater Festival

Students in Henry County learned the importance of water conservation.

It was all part of the 2014 Henry County Groundwater Festival.

Fourth graders from across the county visited different stations at Landmark Park to learn about water.

Organizers say the world is made up of mostly water but a lot of it is undrinkable, so it is necessary to understand how to we get our clean water.

"Water is out most precious resource we have all the water we will ever have it takes education to teach conservation we are teaching them the water cycle from the start to the end," said Jimmy Jones, county extension coordinator.

Students participated in water games, learned how to fish and even went on a hay ride.
