DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) -- A Headland man has been sentenced to serve nine years in prison for threatening a police officer.

Reports say that 19-year-old Calvin Earl Cochran Jr. was sentenced Friday on a felony charge of making a terrorist threat. A Houston County jury found Cochran guilty in September.

Dothan police arrested Cochran in December. They said he made a very specific threat against a patrol officer. The warrant says Cochran told the officer he would find the officer's address and go there with a gun and shoot anyone there, including the officer, his wife, children and dogs.

The judge also ordered that Cochran's nine-year sentence run consecutively with a six-year sentence he received in an unrelated residential burglary case, which means he faces 15 years in prison.
