A four day investigation by multiple police departments has led to the arrest of a Headland man and could close several burglary cases in Henry and Houston County.
Randy Lee Cook Jr., 32, was arrested on Monday night after it was discovered that for the past year he was allegedly having a relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
Authorities say the mother of the victim found out about the relationship and reported it to Headland Police. When police went to Cook’s home to arrest him on Monday night, they ended up taking numerous items from the home including firearms, chainsaws and ammunition. At least four of those items match reported stolen property.
Cook is being held in the Henry County Jail with no bond. Authorities are holding another press conference tomorrow to announce additional charges against Cook.
