Officers Across the Tri-States Join in Hands Across the Border Campaign

It was a full house today at the Kirbo Center in Bainbridge where hundreds of law enforcement officials from Florida, Georgia and Alabama rallied together and vowed to do their best to protect drivers, especially as people gear up for one of the most traveled holidays.

There were more than 150 State Troopers and officials from Georgia, Alabama and Florida. They all joined forces for the 22nd annual Hands Across the Border campaign.

The program is an effort to save lives by cracking down on drunk driving, texting behind the wheel and more.

On Monday night, the troopers and officers conducted a road block in Bainbridge, they say during that time they issued more than 50 arrests and citations, including DUI’s, drug possession and seatbelt violations.
