Dothan, AL - Hamp Baxley is hoping to serve another term on the Dothan City Commission.
Friday, he announced he is seeking re-election for the District 6 seat.
He's served for the past two years.
Baxley says he's been part of making sure the city is in good financial shape and helped formed community-watch programs in his district,
If re-elected Baxley wants to focus on long-term goals for the city.
“I think I want to speak for the whole city of Dothan. I always said that when I first ran for office, I didn't want to look at this as my district only. There's no such thing as a District 6 sewer plant or a District 6 garbage fee. It's a city-wide information,” said Baxley.
The Dothan City election is scheduled for august 6th.
