Tuscaloosa police Sgt. Brent Blankley tells The Associated Press that "multiple people were shot" at the Copper Top bar around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Blankley said no arrests had been made as of 7 a.m., but police have surveillance video of a suspect in the shootings. He said police were still processing the scene Tuesday morning.

Riley Dunn, a University of Alabama senior who was injured in the shooting, estimated that there were 80 to 90 people in the area at the time, near a bar in the area of Temerson Square.
Dunn said there was one gunshot, then about 20 seconds later "that's when he really started firing them off" and everyone scattered.

Authorities say at least 16 people were wounded when a gunman opened fire at a downtown square in Tuscaloosa.
The Tuscaloosa News reports that no deaths had been reported in the gunfire, which happened early Tuesday morning.
Tuscaloosa police have called a news conference for 10 a.m. Tuesday to release more details of the shootings.
Few other details were immediately available.
