The Dothan Education Foundation is helping schools across our area advance in technology.
The foundation approved a grant for Selma Street Elementary School and students will soon see more technology in the classroom.
Selma Street teachers are excited students will have more technology at their fingertips. The Dothan Education foundation gave the school a grant worth more than $24,000 in order to bring in new high definition Kindles to kindergarten classrooms.
Although the Kindles will not be in the school for a few more weeks, educators are excited about bringing students from textbooks to touch screens and the new learning possibility the technology will bring.
In addition to the Kindle grant, the Dothan Education Foundation gave grants to several area schools for everything from laptops to iPads and even robots.
