Governor's Office Offering Reward in Fatal Shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the shooting death of a Jefferson County man.

Reports say 28-year-old Matthew Joshua Hale, of Centerpoint, was found with a fatal bullet wound to his head on April 16 north of Pinson -- about 15 miles northeast of Birmingham.

Police said Hale was not robbed and authorities did not find any form of identification on the man when they found his body on the side of a road. Police identified Hale by using his tattoos and photographs.
