(Dothan, AL)--Gas Prices have dropped all the way down to $2.95 in Dothan. According to a survey, the national average is around $3.38, which means travelers could spike for the 4th of July Holiday.
"When prices go up, travel slows down, " Dothan Resident Carl Underwood said. "Every time I've stopped at the pump lately, it's been down and that's why I'm going to travel," he said.
The Taylor Gas Station is just one of the many places that has already seen an increase in business. Lea Annpancoast believes low gas prices and people traveling in and out of the area, could be the cause.
"We probably see more than 100 people in this store within a couple of hours," Annpancoast said. "When the gas prices started to drop, business picked up, however we've also seen an increase in travelers at this store as well," she said.
For those who are looking to save on gas, there are plenty of comparative websites online.
