BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is planning two days of campaigning in Alabama.
State Republican Party Chairman Bill Armistead says the Georgia businessman will be in Alabama on Oct. 28-29. Cain is scheduled to
speak in Talladega at 11 a.m. Oct. 28 and address the Alabama Federation of Republican Women at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 in Huntsville. Armistead said other campaign stops are being added to the schedule.
Cain's last campaign visit to Alabama was in July, when he was in Tuscaloosa, Jefferson and Shelby counties. Armistead says he's staying neutral in the Republican presidential race, but he's trying to get all the candidates to visit Alabama before the state's presidential primary March 13. Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney have already made visits.
