Fraternity Members Speak Out Over Hazing Allegations

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Pledging at the University of Alabama has been suspended after the school accused 10 fraternities of hazing. In addition, the university has also suspended some individual fraternity members.

The initial investigations began after calls came in to the school's hazing hotline and that worries one fraternity member.

"I also heard that the hotline was anonymous, and I don't understand how ... technically anyone can call the hazing hotline," said Jake Morrow, Delta Kappa Epsilon member. "If they want to suspend it for the rest of this year that's fine. I know for my new boys, at least they want to sign a letter saying they want to do pledgeship anyway. I know that there's a lot of parents that still want them to go through pledgeship. A lot of alumni that want them to go through pledgeship, as well as me and my fraternity brothers."

In addition to the suspension, the fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha has lost its seats at the school's football games.
