Authorities say four people -- including a toddler -- have died and four others were injured in a crash south of Tuscaloosa.
Alabama Department of Public Safety Sgt. Steve Jarrett says an SUV carrying eight people left the road and flipped before hitting a tree near Knoxville Wednesday afternoon.
Jarrett says the driver and passengers were not wearing seatbelts.
Jarrett says 21-year-old Justin Coleman, of Alexander City, 30-year-old Demetria Aaron, 22-year-old Latrice Robertson and 2-year-old Ziliyah Robertson, of Tuscaloosa were killed.
Four other passengers between the ages of 10 and 17 were also injured and are being treated at DCH in Tuscaloosa, the Greene County Hospital and Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
Jarrett says Alabama State Troopers are investigating the accident and additional information is not available.
