MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Outgoing U.S. Rep. Artur Davis has become a partner in the international law firm SNR Denton.
The firm announced Monday that the former Democratic candidate for governor will work in its Washington office on white collar and government investigations.
Davis goes from representing Alabama's 7th Congressional District to representing what the firm said will be "individual and corporate clients in criminal and civil fraud matters in a range of areas, including securities and financial crimes, public corruption and the Foreign and Corrupt Practice Act."
Davis is a former federal prosecutor who served eight years in the U.S. House before making an unsuccessful run for governor. He
lost the Democratic primary in June to state Agriculture
Commissioner Ron Sparks.
