Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman sent a holiday email from prison Monday.
He thanked his supporters for their prayers and lashed out at what he called an "anything goes" justice system.
Siegelman is finishing a 78 month sentence after being convicted on federal bribery charges.
The email reads in part, "If the Creator set a purpose for everything, then I know my job: to fight for justice!"
Siegelman says he's seen first-hand the tragedies created by the criminal justice system. He says, "It is not balanced or fair. It is not seeking truth or justice."
Siegelman urged his supporters to send the White House a message calling for reforms.
