Food Stamp Fraud

The Department of Agriculture is cracking down on food stamp fraud.
The U-S-D-A says the snap cards that are issued are turning up in increasing numbers on craigslist and E-bay.
Even some stores are trading the food stamps for cash, which is illegal.
New rules proposed Thursday would give states the option to put food stamp recipients under closer scrutiny if they continually request replacement cards.
Investigators say that's a sign the cards are being sold.
The states would have to determine what constitutes a frequent request.
Penalties would include fines or a disqualification, while stores would be kicked off the program.

If you'd make people work for their food stamps they wouldn't be so easy to trade them. They could go to town and pick up paper along the side walks. They could go to parks and clean those up. They could rake leaves or clean up flower gardens in front of county or state buildings. There's buildings that the outsides need painting they could do that if you'd furnish the paint.Make them go to school get their G.E.D. So many hours at school gets that months Food stamps. It's better than sitting on your behind with your hand out. You shall not work you shall not eat.
