Wednesday, Flowers Hospital was named one of the nation's "Top Performers on Key Quality Measures" by the Joint Commission.
This organization is an accreditor of health care.
It measures hospital standards in the areas of heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
This is the second time Flowers has been named a top performer, and the hospital CEO hopes it won't be the last.
"We are focused on the best care that we can provide to our patients and delivering that through training and education and focused on safety an staying abreast on the latest and greatest treatment and how it should be provided by our patients," said Suzanne Woods, CEO of Flowers Hospital.
Flowers Hospital is one of 1,099 hospitals recognized.
