Florala Memorial Hospital closed its doors Friday unexpectedly.
Employees were told to transfer employees to other medical facilities around 2pm Friday. Handwritten notes on the front of the hospital, now say, "Closed. Call 911."
Workers say the hospital closed because it didn't have enough revenue to sustain daily operations.
Many in the community are worried about what it might mean for rural healthcare.
