Early in the morning hours of Thursday, the Weather Service placed Lee County, including the campus of Auburn University under a Flash Flood Warning.
According to the National Weather Service office in Birmingham, flooding rains as high as five inches were reported in parts of Lee County. The Flash Flood Warning was in effect through 7am.
While the Flash Flood Warning was allowed to expire, the Weather Service placed Lee County, including the cities of Opelika and Auburn, under a Small Stream Flood Advisory through 9am.
